Beginning of the semester: 1 October 2018
End of the semester: 31 March 2019
Beginning of the lecture period: 8 October 2018
End of lecture period: 1 February 2019

Classes are cancelled due to official German holidays on 1 November 2018 and during the winter break from 24 December 2018 until 4 January 2019.

Summer term 2019

Beginning of the semester: 1 April 2019
End of the semester: 30 September 2019
Beginning of the lecture period: 1 April 2019
End of lecture period: 12 July 2019

Classes are cancelled due to official German holidays on 19 April, 22 April, 1 May, 30 May, 10 June as well as on 20 June 2019.


Carnival session: 4 March 2019
Put a fancy dress on and celebrate carnival with traditional carnival music!

Japan Day: 25 May 2019
Düsseldorf is home to one of Europe's biggest Japanese communities. There are lots of different activities inside the city and along the Rhine. Highlight: Fireworks around 11 p.m. More information can be found undefinedhere!

Funfair, 12 - 21 July 2019
Biggest funfair in the area with big fireworks on the last friday. More information and the exact opening hours can be found undefinedhere.

On Good Friday and Easter Monday everything will be closed. Good Friday is additionally the day of mourning therefore all clubs and bars have to turn off the music at midnight and also privatly, people are expected to remain silent.
